TIP OF THE DAY: Think about what you can ADD to your diet, not what you should take away.
Today I e-mailed my aunt to see how her weekend went and she asked what I did for Valentines Day. So I told her we went to Outback and I had shrimp. She was shocked because I normally don’t eat shrimp. I also told her that I knew that if I wanted this diet to work I had to change what I ate. And she replied with, “If this is going to work for you, you need to stick to it. The end results will be worth it. No cheating and making up excuses.” WOW that is so true. You all know that I start a diet and never follow through. I will always come up with one reason or another to stop. But I think this time having the blog is REALLY going to help. I know that I have been making better choices because I don’t want to put that bad choice on here for all of you to see. For example we went to 7-11 and I really wanted a doughnut, and with still having 16 points left over and it being only 5 points I could “afford” it, but I did not want to put it on here and get comments about it so I did not get it. So again THANK YOU!!! And believe me if I were to eat it I would put it on here because Scott would not let me slide on that.
For lunch a friend and I went to Ruby Tuesday’s. I did some research again and we got a cheese quesadilla and split it so that way we were only eating half the points and we each got the salad bar. I did put some extras on my salad but over all it was not that bad.
This morning I had to watch my nephew and while there, I saw that he had the Wii Dance game. So we played it for 30 minutes. That is a good workout after the third dance I was sweating. Granted my nephew said that I looked silly because I was not getting every single move down, but I sure was moving my butt with that thing. Some dances were fast and you jumped around A LOT, and others were slower so it was a good mix for me!
Tomorrow I am hoping to get up early and go to the mall before they open and walk. The only thing that would stop me is having yet another bad night with my tooth that needs that darn root canal.
OK, now what I ate for the day;
BREAKFAST:
1 Weight Watchers blueberry muffin-3 points
WORKOUT:
Nintendo Wii Just Dance for 30 minutes—Gain 2 points!!
LUNCH AT RUBY TUESDAYS:
2 slices of cheese quesadilla-5 points
FOR THE SALAD FROM THE SALAD BAR:
1 Tbs. Sunflower seeds-1 point
about 7 croutons-2 points
¼ cup black olives-1 point
1 Tbs. cheese-3 points
2 Tbs. Fat Free Ranch Dressing-2 points
2 glasses of diet pop-0 points
SNACK:
1 small container of Mandarin Oranges in light syrup-1 point
1 Cheerios Milk N’ Cereal bar-3 points
1/2 cup pumpkin seeds-3.5 points
DESSERT:
1 Weight Watchers Peanut butter Sundae-3 points
SNACK:
1 Grapefruit-2 points
Total points: 29.5 out of 31 points for the day BUT for working out I GAINED 2 points so the new total is 27.5 out of 31 points
I have not been that good with my water, so far I drank 4 glasses. I hope to get 2 more in before bed. I will let you all know tomorrow how I did with that.
