TIP OF THE DAY: Wait 15 minutes to eat something you think you want to eat. If you are still thinking about it 15 minutes later, you really want it; otherwise, it was a passing urge.
So today I did my yoga but only for 15 minutes. Remember the other day when I worked out so hard that I made myself sick, well after 15 minutes of Yoga, that happened to me again. I was concerned that my blood sugar was low so I thought I would call the Dr. and see what he thinks. It turned out that he was able to see me today so I went in. I told him that after the 15 minutes I was very light headed and nauseated. He checked my blood sugar and it was normal. But he just wants to do some blood work to see if I'm anemic. So no biggie. For now he told me that I could still work out but take it easy. I don't know how much easier I can get then Yoga! :) But I'll try to figure something out. Any advice? As you will see I did not eat lunch because I was not sure what he was going to need blood work wise, so I skipped it. But I ate a late breakfast at 1p.
Tomorrow I have a lot of running around to do so exercising is out but I was planing on parking farther away from the entrance of all the places I have to go to and use the stairs instead of the elevator. I am also planing on packing some snacks for the ride. I just don't know what I'm going to do for lunch. I don't have anything that I can pack for lunch because it's all frozen foods, and I don't have money to spend on getting lunch out. So, well see what happens there.
On to what I ate;
BREAKFAST:
1 Bowl Cinnamon Oatmeal-3 points
1 Banana-2 points
1 cup flavored water-0 points
WORKOUT:
Yoga 15 minutes- I'm going to say 0 points gained here.
SNACK:
1 Hard Boiled Egg-2 points
DINNER:
1 Bowl of Shrimp Stir Fry-2 points (I was not a fan of the shrimp part of the stir fry I made so I gave it to Scott (my husband.)
1 Lunchable-7 points
22 popcorn Shrimp-6 points
DESSERT:
1/4 cup Pumpkin Seeds-4 points
1 cup French Vanilla Ice Cream-7 points (I ate a full cup to get my points in.)
Total points: 33 out of 31 points for the day. AHH as I just added the points on here I realized that my math in my journal was wrong!! 15-6 is not 11 but 9!! So because of that I went over by 2 points!!!!! AHHH I am so mad at myself for doing my math wrong!!
I also drank 6 glasses of water :)

You are doing better on the points- that's good! I'd like to see more protein and calcium in there, especially if you are anemic. Are you taking your vitamins with iron? Just thinking of my future grandchildren! :) Mary
ReplyDeleteIf 15 minutes of Yoga is too long, start out with 5 or 7 minutes and increase it by a minute or so each week. Don't over do it. It takes time to build up strength.
ReplyDeleteSuggestion in terms of packing lunch: Always have peanut butter handy and whole wheat or any whole grain bread. The bread can be frozen if you don't use it often. You can then make a sandwich quite easily. Peanuts are a good source of protein. myra
Mary-I have not been taking my vitamins. After I do the blood work and get that back I'll start taking them again. :)
ReplyDeleteMyra- Peanut butter is very high in points. I think it was about 5 points for 2 Tbs. I will have to try and find one with lower points. Whole wheat and whole grane things bother me with the Crones so I have to be careful with that. But I could just use white bread or try and see how the whole wheat goes again.

We eat lots of different 100 calorie snacks and they are good for carrying around, throwing in the car, etc Watch for sales. Heather loves the cheetos, Jack likes the Ritz mix (like a Chex mix) and I like the sweet/salty Ritz mix and Pringles honey/wheat stix.
