TIP OF THE DAY: Did you know that you are supposed to have 2 tsp. of oil every day? It is recommended that you have 2 tsp of oil each day because it provides vitamin E and essential fatty acids your body needs.
So today I was running around getting things done. Such as going to the DuPage county clerks office, the Social Security office, Provena Mercy and the Dr. office. Every where I went I parked far away and took the stairs. That did not seem like much to me today and since I feel like I am going to gain weight this week for some reason, I went for a walk with the dog when I got home. It was such a beautiful day out that I could not let it pass me by so we walked to the lake (about a block away from the house) and then went around the lake. (which is about 1/2 mile I think?) Almost the whole time Dexter (the dog) was pulling so not only did I get my cardio in I also got some upper body work in with having to yank him back to me! That was SO annoying to say the least.
I got home at about 3 so I had a late lunch at home but I did pack a cup of grapes to take along with me. and that did satisfy me until I got home for lunch.
Tomorrow I am going to do the Walk Away the Pounds DVD. I am not sure if I am going to do the modifications like the Dr. told me to or if I am going to do the actual workout and just stop or take brakes in between if I stat to feel dizzy...any suggestions here??
Oh, I remembered that I had a Target gift card today so with it I got a Pedometer!! My uncle Bill gave me the idea :) So we will see how many steps I get in tomorrow on a somewhat average day.
Okay Okay, on to what I ate now;
BREAKFAST:
1 bowl of Cinnamon Oatmeal-3 points
1 Banana-2 points
SNACK:
1 cup Grapes-1 point
LUNCH:
1 Lean Cuisine Macaroni and Beef-5 points
1 cup flavored water-0 points
WORKOUT:
Walking the dog for 30 minutes-gained 2 points
SNACK:
1 Weight Watchers Vanilla Yogurt-1 point
DINNER:
1 Chicken Breast-3 points
1 cup Rice-4 points
1 cup flavored water-0 points
SNACK:
1/4 cup Pumpkin Seeds-4 points
DESSERT:
1 cup French Vanilla Ice Cream-7 points (again I did a full cup to get my points in)
1 Peach-1 point
Total points: 31 out of 31 points for the day, but with the walk I gained 2 points so the TRUE total is 29 out of 31 points.
I also drank 6 cups of water today!!

Being outdoors and walking the dog is such a good way to get in exercise. Also, remember you need to slowly build up your resistance. It can't be done too quickly. Take your doctor's advice and modify the work outs. myra
ReplyDeleteit is a good idea to park further away & use the stairs- I do that too. Walking Dexter qualifies as walking plus an upper body workout! I agree with Myra, build up slowly because if you hurt yourself, you can't work out at all. Mary
