Weigh in #6

I GAINED 0.2oz. OK now this is where I am starting to get discouraged. I walked so much this week and I ate a lot of salads!! (granted that did give me pain but not as bad as it used to)

Is it due to it being that "time" for me? Or is it that I am just not doing something right? I have not gone over my points, if anything I have not made my points. Could that also be why?

I feel like saying that if I am to gain AGAIN next week, this is just not for me. I don't know what else to do!? I was thinking about joining a step class at the YMCA down the street from me and see if that helps any.

IF YOU HAVE ANY ADVICE PLEASE SHARE IT WITH ME! LET ME KNOW THAT YOU ARE OUT THERE....

  1. "That time" can certainly be a factor. I don't know the answer to the points question - logically it does not seem that eating less than your points would make you gain weight. That would be a question for your meeting leader. All the books say salad are deceiving - they seem healthy but many times have hidden points/calories. I don't know if that is true but it may depend on the salad. Hang in there, sweetie. Remember - this has to be a lifestyle change and not a "diet" for it to be effective. Gaining .2 - on a tradtional scale it would look like you stayed the same which would maybe feel better than gaining but really, you stayed the same. You had a busy week - staying the same is good news!!

  2. I was not really talkative today in the meeting. I normaly am. I will have to talk to my leader next week, or I will email her if I think I need help sooner...which I just may.

The next question that I have is why is it that WE get to carrie the babies, WE have to give birth, WE get "Thant Time", and WE get bloated? WE go through so much and all the men have to do is cut out one thing and they drop the weight?! AHH!! I know, I know everyone is different but I just don't think its fair! uh...

  3. I know my leader always stressed to eat all my points because if you eat too little your body goes into that starvation mode and will hold onto all calories b/c it thinks you need it. However, from personal experience I know that during "that time" I've very rarely lost anything. in fact I usually gained a little. When I was still doing weight watchers I voiced this concern and several other women said that was their pattern too....
